My Canon MP610 was working fine until my partner plugged it into his PC as he needed to pring something and his Lexmark printer was not working properly. I have now plugged the Canon MP610 back into my PC and I cannot get black to print on word or excel documents although if I change the black to colour it prints fine. I tried printing a pdf document and an email and the black works fine on both of these. I photopied a document and that seemed to work fine as well. I have checked the black ink cartridges and they are both full. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the printer. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this then I would be really grateful!

HI there, I have the Canon MP610 and it has stopped working, despite doing the deep cleaning over 5 times it doesn't seem to be getting better - the problems seem random - it did seem to be getting better with the deep cleaning but then on the last time even most of the colours didn't come out well. I read on another thread that you had emailed some instructions to people.would love to hear what I can do to fix it as we just bought all new ink and I despise landfill so don't want to just chuck it away. - staciagoninon.
