Flashpoint X. Hi, I just picked up this thin client and just reinstalled the XPe from a flash drive. Installation went well, all drivers went on, everything work fine. Seems like it isn't saving my settings. Also, when I click on some icons in the control panel like, User Accounts, Add/Remove Programs, etc; it keeps saying, 'the requested feature is not available'. Also I am trying to install google toolbar but the Sygate is not allowing it - and when I click on the Sygate program to open it, nothing happens.

The reason none of your changes are being retained is that XPe's Enhanced Write Filter is probably enabled. To see if this is the case, open a DOS prompt (START RUN type CMD ), and enter in the following (without quotes): 'ewfmgr c:' (This is presuming that your flash drive id 'c'. If it not, use your drive letter in place of 'c'). Look for State Property. It will probably say 'Enabled'.
To disable the EWF, first reboot the system. (This is so there is no unwanted data getting saved). Then open a DOS prompt again, and enter: 'ewfmgr c: -commitanddisable' Reboot the system again. Check the status of the EWF as outlined in the first step above. State Property should now be 'Disabled'. Make any changes you want.
